It was just about a year ago that the owners of Escala Lodges, (SDI Realty Group) made the announcement to bring in Hyatt Hotels & Resorts to operate and manage the property now known as Hyatt Escala Lodge at Park City. The move was made because of the strong brand identity that Hyatt would lend to the properties sales efforts going forward. Most local real estate professionals and related industry leaders thought the decision made sense and applauded the move as a positive for sales. But sales activity over the past year has still not met expectations. Starting September 1, 2011 CPR Realty Accelerators will be a new sales and marketing team in charge of the sales of Hyatt Escala.
No, CPR does not stand for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, although they have had success bringing projects back to life. What it does stand for is Communiqué Partners Real Estate dba CPR Realty Accelerators, the very same company that has accelerated and sold over 45 Westgate whole ownership units over the past 12 months. This is the same Westgate project that couldn’t sell much of anything over the 2 years prior, including trying an auction that had very little success in April 2010. CPR has been successful at the Westgate because of a formula that made the owner/developer understand the time value of their investment and an approach that had aggressive but fair pricing that has ultimately benefited both the buyers and the developer. They also aggressively flooded the different media markets with targeted advertising that gets the phones ringing. Talisker Mountain Realty has worked very closely with CPR as their #1 brokerage partner in sales at Westgate over the past year and we fully expect to be working together at Hyatt Escala as well.
We anticipate new pricing within the next couple of weeks and a re-launch of the property in the next couple of months. I will be updating my client base as information becomes available. In the meantime please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions regarding “Hyatt Escala Lodges (Ski-in/Ski-out and Slopeside at CANYONS RESORT) at Park City”.
